The West Tennessee State Fair is one of the longest-running fairs in the region, held since 1855 at the West Tennessee State Fairgrounds (575 Fourth Street) in Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee. The 2026 edition runs October 15-24 and features livestock shows, carnival rides and midway games, agricultural exhibits, crafts, pageants, live music and special events like Bulls & Barrels rodeo nights and the Junior Rodeo.

The West Tennessee State Fair is one of the longest-running community fairs in the region, rooted in Henderson, Tennessee since 1855. The 2026 edition returns October 15-24 (10 days) at the West Tennessee State Fairgrounds, 575 Fourth Street, Henderson, TN 38340.

What's on

  • Livestock Shows - cattle, hogs, rabbits, goats and more showcase West Tennessee's agricultural heritage.
  • Rides & Midway - thrill rides, carnival games and midway magic for kids and adults.
  • Agricultural Exhibits & Crafts - homemade jams, quilts, fine art, vegetables and baked goods.
  • Pageants & Competitions - Fair Queen, Little Miss and more, plus exhibit judging.
  • Live Entertainment - concerts, rodeo, demolition derby, truck pulls and nightly attractions.
  • Special Events - Bulls & Barrels rodeo nights on Oct 16 and Oct 17 (7:00 PM) and the Junior Rodeo on Oct 20 (7:00 PM), plus an antique tractor show and a barbecue grill competition on opening day.

Admission & hours

Gate admission is $5 for all ages on most days (Oct 15, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24 and closing day). Special event days (Oct 16, 17 and 20) are priced higher. Children under 3 are always free. Unlimited-ride armbands are $30 per day, sold separately at the gate; on Saturdays armbands split into a daytime session (until 4 PM) and an evening session (5 PM-Close). A gate season pass costs $25 and covers admission for all 10 days (excludes ride armbands). On-site parking is free.

Getting there

Located roughly 90 miles east of Memphis and 30 miles east of Jackson via US-70 E, easily accessible from Lexington, Brownsville, Milan and Humboldt.
