About
FAN EXPO Chicago is a three-day pop-culture convention at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The organizer describes it as Chicago’s go-to gathering for sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and comics, with celebrity guests, panels, workshops, and a large shopping floor.
The show began as Chicago Comic Con in 1972 and was known as Wizard World Chicago from 1998. It is now produced by FAN EXPO HQ. The next edition is 20–22 August 2027.

What to expect
Autographs and photo ops with celebrity guests, comic-creator Sketch Duels, How-To workshops, cosplay, anime and gaming programming, and a large exhibit hall for merchandise and collectibles. FAN EXPO HQ lists typical attendance around 80,000 fans.
