About

Cartmel Show is a traditional agricultural show run by the Cartmel Agricultural Society in the village of Cartmel, on the southern fringe of the Lake District in Cumbria, England. Locals nicknamed it the "Royal" Cartmel Show. It is a one-day family show held in the school summer holidays and combines agriculture with entertainment.

On the showground: livestock classes for cattle, sheep, light and heavy horses, rabbits and eggs; Village Industries and Horticultural marquees filled with arts, crafts and home-made entries; a Food Hall of local suppliers and producers with a Food Theatre where chefs demonstrate; Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling; live music; and children's activities including archery, circus skills, a bouncy castle, birds of prey and creepy-crawlies.
