The Iowa State Fair is Iowa’s largest event. The official fair-dates page lists 13–23 August 2026 as the current edition, and also publishes future years 12–22 August 2027 and 10–20 August 2028. This listing uses the 2026 dates still in force as of 13 August 2026.
Fair hours page: 13–22 August, grounds 8 a.m. to midnight and buildings 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; 23 August grounds 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. After 10 p.m. on 13–22 August there are no on-site ticket sales or gate re-entry. Tickets are sold on iowastatefair.org.
