İZKİTAP – İzmir Book Fair

İZKİTAP is the book fair of İzmir, organised by İZFAŞ and TACT Fuarcılık under the hosting of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, and held in Kültürpark in the Konak district of central İzmir.

2026 edition (8th)

• Dates: 19–27 September 2026 (nine days)
• Opening hours: 10:00–20:00 daily
• Venue: Kültürpark, Şair Eşref Bulvarı No: 50, Konak, İzmir
• Scale: around 200 publishers and institutions; close to 400 authors, poets, journalists, academics and artists; approximately 500 events
• Format: publisher and second-hand bookseller stands, author signings, panel talks and children's/youth literature programming across several stages in the park
• Guest of honour 2026: Gündüz Vassaf

Programme

The fair combines a large bookselling floor with a dense talks programme: interviews, signings and themed sessions on literature, history, culture, art, science and social issues, plus a dedicated children's and young-adult track.

Visitors

The fair is open to the public; the 2026 edition attracted tens of thousands of visitors over its nine days.

Next edition

The organiser has announced that the next İZKİTAP will be held in spring 2027; exact dates are not yet published.
