KIDZ in Motion Conference & Expo

The KIDZ IN MOTION International Child Passenger Safety Conference & Expo is an annual event dedicated to child passenger safety (CPS). The upcoming edition takes place August 11-13, 2027 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.

The conference brings together child passenger safety technicians, instructors, injury-prevention professionals, healthcare providers and industry sponsors for workshops, extended learning sessions and continuing-education units (CEUs). Program content covers child restraint systems and best-practice installation, child passenger safety on school buses (including a national school bus training with pre-registration), enrichment training sessions, and technical updates from manufacturers and safety organizations. An exposition area features sponsors and exhibitors such as child restraint manufacturers presenting their latest products.

The most recent edition was held August 26-28, 2026 (with an optional school bus enrichment training on Tuesday, August 25) at the Wilmington Convention Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The event is organized by KIDZ IN MOTION, a nonprofit organization (P.O. Box 12, Black River Falls, WI 54615; email [email protected]), which also administers scholarship programs (MACPS Scholarship, Sue Empowers Scholarship) and the CPS Heroes recognition program. Attendee registration is handled online ahead of each conference.
