nordjob Bau:Technik is the student day (Schülertag) at NordBau, Northern Europe’s construction trade fair. Organized by Institut für Talententwicklung (IfT / vocatium), it introduces young people in their final school years to jobs in construction, construction machinery, and building crafts.
Visitors take part in pre-scheduled conversations with career and study advisers, try MI(N)T hands-on stations, and can attend short talks and an apprentice talk. Typical occupations highlighted include roofing, construction-materials testing, industrial mechanics, and architecture. The programme also covers MINT careers and pathways from a Meister qualification into higher education.
