138th Sandwich Fair
The Sandwich Fair began as an annual livestock show in DeKalb County. Held Wednesday through Sunday after Labor Day since 1888, it is one of the oldest continuing county fairs in Illinois. The 2026 fair runs Wednesday, September 9 through Sunday, September 13 at Sandwich Fairgrounds, 15730 Pratt Road, Sandwich.
Hours: 8 a.m.–11 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 8 a.m.–12 a.m. Saturday; 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday. Main stage and track: Wednesday harness racing and RC championships; Thursday truck pulls; Friday concert; Saturday tractor pulls; Sunday antique car show and demolition derby.
Promotional days include Children Free Admission Day on Wednesday, September 9 (children 12 and under free all day), Senior Day Thursday, Bargain Day Friday, and reduced admission Sunday after 3pm. Organizer: Sandwich Fair Association, Inc., 815-786-2159, [email protected].
