Therapy by the Sea

Therapy by the Sea is an annual in-person continuing-education conference for doctors of optometry, optometric students, and paraoptometric staff, sponsored by the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP). The most recent edition was held September 25–26, 2026 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

The two-day program typically offers around 19 hours of optometric education delivered by nationally recognized speakers, covering clinical topics such as retinal disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and diagnostic/therapeutic technology. An on-site exhibit hall showcases the latest industry products and vendor solutions, with dedicated networking breaks for meaningful engagement with peers and industry professionals.

Therapy by the Sea has run annually in Atlantic City — recent editions include 2024 (Hard Rock Atlantic City), 2025, and 2026 — drawing 100+ optometric professionals from New Jersey and surrounding states.
