ECA Expo — the Extracurricular Activities Festival — is Hong Kong's largest annual gathering of out-of-classroom learning, bringing together the city's most diverse extracurricular activities, teaching materials and school supplies in a single weekend. Built around the theme of "positive education," the show turns emotional wellbeing and SEN (Special Educational Needs) inclusive learning into hands-on experiences across nine signature feature zones — a platform where children discover new interests and where parents, educators and students learn and grow together.

What's inside

• Try-it-now sports & movement — on-the-spot taster sessions in taekwondo, fencing, balance-bike riding and airsoft, plus drone and other interactive zones that let kids test a hobby before committing.
• Competitions & stages — the Inter-School Go (Weiqi) Cup, the Hong Kong Magic Elite Open and Primary Schools Magic Invitational, a children's street-dance gala, song-and-dance theatre, and a rolling programme of stage performances and contests.
• Parent–child creative workshops — art and craft sessions designed for families to make something together on the spot.
• Teaching materials & supplies — booths from curriculum publishers, edtech providers, tutoring and enrichment centres, and school-service suppliers offering show-exclusive discounts.

Visitor info (2026 edition)

• Opening hours: 10:00–19:00 on both days (admission and ticket exchange close 30 minutes before close).
• Booth count: 350+ exhibitors across a two-day show.
• Tickets: HK$30 per person; free entry for children under 1 m, seniors aged 65 or above (with ID), and holders of a disability card. Tickets were sold at the venue box office and via the organizer's online ticketing partner.

Organizer & cadence

ECA Expo is produced by Exhibition Group Limited, the Hong Kong organizer behind the city's major public consumer exhibitions across education, pets, home living and travel. The festival runs annually (the 2026 edition was held 16–17 May at HKCEC Hall 3DE); the next edition's dates are announced by the organizer in due course.

Getting there

HKCEC sits on the Wan Chai waterfront at 1 Expo Drive, served by MTR Exhibition Centre Station (Exit B3) and Wan Chai Station (Exit A5), with easy access from across Hong Kong.
