The 47th Malta Book Festival (Il-Festival Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb) returns 4–8 November 2026 to MFCC, Ta' Qali, with free admission, 40+ exhibitors and a programme of talks, workshops and family events.

The Malta Book Festival (Il-Festival Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb) is Malta’s main annual book-culture celebration, organised by the National Book Council. The 47th edition’s theme is Uncover the Story. Last year’s edition drew over 40,000 visitors, 40+ exhibitors and 100+ programme events.
The official 2026 page lists special guests Ian Rankin and Esther García Llovet, plus author talks, workshops and family activities (full programme still being announced). Primary and secondary students can use a €20 book voucher at festival booksellers; independent student registration opens 15 October 2026. School groups must book visits in advance.
