The San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering (also known as the San Diego Science Festival) is the region's signature free public STEAM event, produced by the nonprofit Generation STEAM to empower the next generation of STEAM visionaries through K-12 education and exploration.

Expo Day 2027

Saturday, March 13, 2027, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Petco Park, San Diego. The event takes place rain or shine and is completely FREE and open to the public. No registration or tickets required.

What to Expect

• 100+ hands-on activities for all ages (pre-K to adult)
• Main stage (Illumina Stage) in Gallagher Square: rapping mathematicians, R&B chemists, reptiles, rockets, mad science and more
• Pfizer Future Innovators Stage (Dugout Stage): student-led TedEd-style talks
• Specialty areas for 2027: Art Pavilion, College & Career Connections, Construction Corner, Cybersecurity Zone, Robotics Round-Up, and Pre-K Zone
• Food & concessions open with vegetarian and vegan options

Logistics

Parking offered at Padres Parkade and the Tailgate Lot for $10. School buses drop off on 10th Avenue between K Street and Park Blvd. Bag policy per Petco Park regulations; Petco Park is a cashless venue.

The festival is presented by Generation STEAM (10996 Torreyana Rd, Ste 200, San Diego, CA 92121). Free year-round STEAM education programs are also available via generationsteam.org.
