Science is Wonderful! 2026

Science is Wonderful! is the annual science fair organised by the European Commission under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme. Held every year since 2015, it celebrates EU-funded research by inviting leading researchers from around the world to Brussels to engage and inspire the next generation of scientists.

Last edition

• Dates: 18, 19 and 20 March 2026 (three days)
• Venue: Maison de la Poste, Rue Picard 7, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
• Opening hours: 18 March, 09:00-13:00; 19 March, 09:00-15:00; 20 March, 09:00-15:00
• Scale: more than 150 researchers from over 30 countries; around 4,500 young visitors from across Belgium and abroad
• Admission: free of charge and open to everyone (school classes, families, science enthusiasts)

Format

Interactive experiments, hands-on activities, science shows, games and quizzes. The programme is designed for all ages, with pupils aged 7-18 finding the widest choice of activities. Teachers can book a 3-hour timeslot for their class. The event is organised in French, Dutch and English, with around 30 interpreters helping to lower language barriers. Free bus transfers and free lunch at the venue can be arranged on request for school classes (limited availability, priority to public schools).
