Stephenson County Fair 2027

The next Stephenson County Fair is July 27–31, 2027 at the Stephenson County Fairgrounds in Freeport, Illinois. The Stephenson County Fair Association states the dates on its homepage (“See you at the Fair, July 27-31, 2027”) and on the Fair page (“Mark your calendars! See you at the Stephenson County Fair, July 27-31, 2027”). The site header also shows July 27-31, 2027. Relative to 2026-09-30, this is the next future edition. The 2026 fair (CMS dates July 21–25, 2026) is past; the 2026 Fair Report thanks attendees and points to July 27-31, 2027.

Venue

Stephenson County Fairgrounds is on the southeast side of Freeport. The association contact page lists Stephenson County Fair Association, 2250 S Walnut Rd, Freeport, IL 61032. The homepage lists the same grounds as 2250 S Walnut, Freeport, IL 61032. Maps and Directions says visitors can enter through the south gate during open business hours, with other gates opened during events. Daily 2027 gate hours and ticket prices are not published yet; Plan Your Visit says “Check back for 2027.”

About the fair

The association mission is “To hold educational and entertainment activities for both agricultural and non-agricultural purposes in a safe environment.” Committees named on the About page include commercial exhibits, carnival, grandstand, on-grounds entertainment, tractor and truck pulls, youth and family activities, a queen pageant, livestock, and non-livestock contests. The Our Story page describes livestock barns and youth exhibitors as the heart of fair week, alongside the midway and grandstand. The 2026 Fair Report described five days “from the barns to the midway to the grandstand,” then invited the community back for July 27-31, 2027.
