Walking Wisely Weekend NC

Walking Wisely Weekend (W3) is an annual in-town weekend retreat for middle and high school students in North Carolina's Piedmont region. It is a joint effort between neighbouring student ministries that unite for greater local impact, and it describes itself as being about "Jesus and relationships, pure and simple".

Format. Students from churches across the area gather for two days and two nights of large-group sessions (LGS) with a guest speaker and worship band, small-group sessions, Saturday breakouts, service projects and Saturday afternoon activities. Overnight accommodation is provided by local host homes, with each student's own church arranging host homes and small-group leaders. The weekend is aimed at encouraging and equipping students to take their next step with Jesus.

2026 edition. Friday 6 February to Sunday 8 February 2026. Friday check-in opens at 6:45 pm, Session 1 at 7:30 pm, then students move to host homes; Saturday runs from breakfast through Session 2, afternoon activities, Session 3 and small groups; Sunday morning finishes with the final small-group session before students return to their home churches. Registration for the 2026 weekend opened with an early-bird rate (deadline 12 January) of $65 and a normal rate of $75, including the W3 t-shirt.

Venue. Friday registration and drop-off is at 1230 St Marks Church Rd, Burlington, NC 27215 (St. Mark's Community Church); a parking map is published on the Weekend Info page.

Organisers. W3 is a collaboration between area churches and organisations, including Faith Christian Academy, First Baptist Church of Mebane, The Gathering, Glenn Hope Baptist Church, Greater Vision Academy, Harvest Baptist Church and Hope Church. The 2026 speaker was Lenny Moore, executive pastor at Renovation Church in Hampstead.
